PERTAMINA GUMA JV is involved in Algeria, Angola, Gabon, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Sudan, South Africa and is pursuing opportunities in the East & Central Africa.

Africa's energy landscape is undergoing a transformation, with renewable energy gaining momentum. The African Development Bank's New Deal on Energy for Africa aims to achieve universal electricity access by 2025.

 

Key Investment Opportunities:

  • Renewable Energy: Africa's installed renewable energy capacity reached 26.5 GW in 2020. Solar energy projects have attracted substantial investments, with utility-scale solar farms increasing across the continent.
  • Off-Grid Solutions: Around 70% of Africa's population lacks access to reliable electricity. Investments in off-grid solutions, like solar mini-grids and home systems, can bridge this gap.
  • Energy Storage: The energy storage market in Africa is projected to reach $3 billion by 2030. Battery storage solutions are vital for integrating intermittent renewable energy sources.
